The complete Valetfy guide
What is Valetfy?
Valetfy makes getting paid easier for people who sell in person, on the move, or without a checkout counter.
Send a payment link. Show a QR code. Open a simple public store. Take tips. Your customer pays in the browser without downloading an app or creating a Valetfy account, and Stripe handles the payment. You do not need to force a download, ask for a username, or carry a reader for any of those flows.
The short version
One wallet. Several ways to get paid.
You decide what you are selling and what it costs. Valetfy turns that into something your customer can pay in a browser.
Stripe processes the payment and settles funds through your connected account. Valetfy shows the status, receipt, refund, dispute, and payout records needed to run the service. An agent can help create and check supported one-time Charge links; Store and Tip terminals have their own customer flows.
More than a QR guide
The Valetfy payment toolkit
QR codes matter because they make a terminal easy to open in person. They are not the whole product. Valetfy is the system that creates, shares, and manages the payment experience behind the code or link.

A separate terminal for each customer job
A one-time charge, a Store cart, and a tip are different moments. Valetfy gives each one a simple browser checkout instead of squeezing everything into the same form.

The seller creates and manages these experiences from Valetfy. The customer opens only the terminal needed for that moment: an exact charge, a cart, or a tip. Every terminal can be reached by a shareable link, and the same destination can be encoded as a QR code for signs, screens, printed material, or face-to-face checkout.
AI where it helps
Ask about the work around getting paid
The Valetfy Agent preview brings common payment questions into one conversation. Ask for your balance, recent charges, tip link, or Stripe status instead of hunting through separate screens.
It is meant to help with the work around a payment, not take control of the payment. Important actions stay visible, customers still review checkout, and Stripe still processes the money.
Early preview
“Show my recent charges.”
1. You ask Valetfy in plain language.
2. The agent checks the supported records it can access.
3. You see the answer without leaving the conversation.
4. Anything important still waits for your approval.
In person means more than one thing
Browser checkout today. Tap to Pay next.
Links and QR codes let the customer pay on their own phone, and that works right now. Tap to Pay on iPhone — where an eligible seller accepts a supported contactless card or wallet on the iPhone itself — is coming soon and is not available yet.
Platform status, stated plainly
- • Browser Charge, Store, and Tip terminals are the core product.
- • Tap to Pay on iPhone is coming soon. It depends on the Valetfy App Store release and platform eligibility.
- • Android Tap to Pay is not offered today.
- • Availability can depend on device, region, Stripe account, and platform eligibility.
How Stripe fits
Valetfy handles the experience. Stripe handles the payment infrastructure.
Valetfy is not trying to become a bank or hide the processor. Sellers connect a Stripe account during setup. Valetfy then gives that seller a practical operating layer for presenting charges, products, and tips to customers.
01
The seller creates
Name a charge, add products to a store, or open a tip terminal. The Valetfy Agent preview can also help with supported payment and account questions.
02
The customer approves
The customer opens a browser terminal, reviews what they are paying, and chooses a supported card or wallet.
03
Stripe processes
Stripe handles the payment and settlement through the seller's connected account while Valetfy shows terminal activity and status.
The name
Valetfy means making the annoying part easier
The name comes from the idea of a valet as a helper: something that takes an awkward, repetitive task off a person's hands. Valetfy is not a parking company. It is software for the part of selling that too often becomes annoying for both people: turning “I need to pay you” into a completed transaction.
That is why the product is intentionally broader than QR payments. A food truck may post a QR storefront. A mobile service provider may text a fixed charge link. A performer may display a Tip Terminal. A seller may ask an agent to prepare a payment request. The interface changes; the job stays the same: take the awkwardness out of getting paid without taking control away from the people making and approving the sale.
Frequently asked questions
The important details
Is Valetfy only a QR-code payment tool?
No. A QR code is one way to open a Valetfy terminal. Sellers can also share payment links, create browser stores, accept customer-chosen tips, and track payment activity from Valetfy. The Valetfy Agent is in preview for common payment and account questions.
Is Valetfy a replacement for Stripe?
No. Stripe processes payments and handles the connected payment account. Valetfy is the seller and customer experience around that infrastructure: creating terminals, sharing links and QR codes, presenting checkout, and organizing payment activity.
What will the Valetfy Agent do?
The preview brings common payment work into one conversation. A seller can ask about balances, recent charges, tip links, or Stripe setup. It does not silently charge a customer or move money; important actions remain visible and require approval.
Does the customer need the Valetfy app?
No. Customer-facing Charge, Store, and Tip terminals open in a modern browser. The customer does not need a Valetfy account or app download to review and approve a supported payment.
Does Valetfy support Tap to Pay?
Not yet. Tap to Pay on iPhone is coming soon, and will depend on the Valetfy App Store release plus device, region, Stripe account, and platform eligibility. Valetfy does not offer Android Tap to Pay. Browser terminals, links, QR checkouts, stores, and tips are available today without a card reader.
